Couponing 101 - Stacking up

I just found the perfect stacking up example.
Not long ago, I went through a not very pleasant situation @ Publix, where the cashier didn't understand this concept. My lesson learned was: I have to educate the employees if necessary.
Have in mind, most of them don't have a clue about coupons or they are just simply scared to get fired over coupon related mistakes.

Coupon on the left: it states is a Publix coupon = store coupon.
Coupon on the right: manufacturer coupon and ready to print.

You can redeem both of them for the same group of items, in this case: 3 Fruit  Cup Snacks packs.

Happy End on my fiasco trip to Publix - Show and Tell - I paid $23.84

For those who don't know me well, I'm far away from being a quitter and this post is not about the $1.50 I saved... it's about principles.
After I came back from my morning field trip to Publix (pretty aggravated... read HERE to find out about it) I needed to go to work - I'm a local photographer, so I couldn't go back right away and finish today's novela (soap opera).

I'm happily to say, I just came back home with my $1.50 and the way I resolved was:
- I talked to the manager.
- I brought a printed copy of Publix's coupon policy.
- She apologized about the lack of knowledge on their associates part.
- She made copies of my receipt, policy and finally... the $1.50 redeemed coupon.
- She promised me this won't happen again.

Time to show you what I've got from Publix this morning:

Publix just made my s@@@ list! Their coupon policy changed

I went back to Publix today to take advantage of many offers and then some.
Unfortunately, I couldn't use them all due to they just changed their coupon policy. Yes! last week.
I spoke to a customer service manager and he explained to me that due to a high number of coupon fraud and "those shows on TV", blah, blah, blah...
To make a long story short: Publix is NOT going to take ANY coupon (manufacturer or store coupon) on ANY FREE product.
What does it mean? Sadly to write, I have the perfect example for you:

2 Axe body wash $4.99 - 1/B1G1 FREE MC = $4.99 or $2.49 each
Dove body wash $4.99 - 1/$1.00 OFF MC - 1/$3.00 OFF SC WYB3 = $0.99

BUT I was going for:
2 Axe body wash $4.99 - 1/B1G1 FREE MC - 1/$1.50 OFF MC = $3.49 or $1.75 each

What happened? They didn't take the 1/$1.50 OFF on the FREE product.

So, forget about using 2 MCs on ANY B1G1 FREE promo... my thoughts? Publix will be losing a lot of businesses, just for getting greedy @ it.
Florida has way too many coupon restrictions already to add this non-sense to the list.
I see many trips to Walmart, Target and Winn-Dixie in my near future.

By the way, they didn't update the policy @ their website but the registers are NOT taking the coupons anymore.
